I have marked the mounting holes and the area that needs to be cutaway. I have also plugged up the water hose holes so that shavings will not enter and damage impeller and seal.
I started cutting straight lines with Dremel tool cutting wheel. then finished it off with hacksaw.
I then shaved the rough surfaces using grinding rock.
The metal was very easy to cut and it took no more than 20 minuites. The finished product looks good.
