The stuffing box and the 6 ply hose was replaced recently with 4 new aluminum straps.
The 3 strips of  1/4" flax is Gore-Tex that provides long life with less friction. It drips less.

part number GFO25000A  $ 14.50  ( as of 10-2021)
The Lana-cote that is added provides water tight seal for less dripping.
Both the propeller shaft and the coupling were replaced including the strut bushing.
