Before installing - I poured glycerin in to the elbows and rotated the tang a few turns to lubricate the impeller .

Then I placed my home made gasket on the base

and place the pump on the engine and tightened up the screw. They lined up perfectly.

The water hoses fit well - but the water inlet was snug agains the alternator so I wrapped it with a 1/16 plastic and held in place with 2 ty wraps so that it does not wear out due to vibration.
